Period Q&A Answers!

So, me and Belle asked everyone on our Pinterest accounts some questions about your period and today we are going to answer them for you!

Belle’s Answers!

What things do you use for odors, how are your cramps, and what do you like to eat on your period?

For odors that are just on your armpits and on your legs, I use any kind of coconut body wash and water, I use a Nivia deodorant, and the Sol De Janero perfume number 62. My cramps hit my lower back really hard, and it kind of feels like I'm being repeatedly punched. I also get lower stomach cramps but not as bad. I usually deal with my cramps in 1 of 2 ways. These ways are to take painkillers and curl up into a ball.

I usually eat the same as I normally do. However, I do try to drink more water and eat less oily foods. I do usually get cravings that revolve around some kind of chocolate and peanut butter.

1: in Australia, there are literally only two types of applicators tampons you can buy, and they're both not sustainable. I only use one tampon a month for swimming, but I still feel waistfull when I use it. Anyone know of sustainable tampons that aren't period cups as I'm terrified of them and that ship to Australia.

2: How are your cramps? Mine hit my lower stomach and hit my lower back really hard.

3: My best friend is dating someone she doesn't find physically attractive at all, and I was wondering what the different types of attraction are? and how to know what types you feel towards someone.

Answers:

1: To be honest, I do not use tampons at all so I could not tell you lol. I want you to get a real and experienced answer so I reccomend asking a parent, a doctor, or another adult. I only use pads so I am not really sure about tampons. Sorry! :(

2: My cramps can hit really hard! Mine are usually really bad stomach cramps, headaches, and loss of appetite. What I do is my doctor prescribed me on a anti-throw up medicine so now and I can eat and take a painkiller!

3: For attraction, I would say there is also something called infatuation. This is when you have a short-lived passion or admiration for someone or something. Usually this does not mean you are “in love” with someone. You know how lots of people just want to experience the cute things in a relationship and not really interested in an actual relationship? Thats infatuation. Most teens go through that because of what we see on social media and with our peers, so we just want to fit in. And it’s normal to want to fit in because as humans we tend to do that A LOT. Also, she could love his personality!

He may be really sweet and kind but not be physically attractive. I have seen that happen to loads of people! I would say to know if you are really in love with someone or if it is just infatuation, is time. Most of the time infatuation is similar to an obsession so it lasts for a very short period of time. If you are really in love with someone it won’t be short-lived, rather it would be a ongoing thing. You would most likely talk to your mom about him, you would feel actual compassion and not just an obsession type of love.

Thank you everyone who asked a question!

If you have any more questions about anything, comment them and I will answer them in my next blog post! Love ya!

How to throw the PERFECT Spring Party!

Throwing a perfect spring party requires careful planning and attention to detail. Here are some tips to help you plan the perfect spring party:

  1. Choose a theme: A spring party is all about embracing the season, so choose a theme that reflects the colors and freshness of spring. Some ideas include a garden party, a spring picnic, a floral-themed party, or a butterfly-themed party.

  2. Create a guest list: Determine the number of guests you would like to invite and create a guest list. Be sure to include a mix of people who will get along well and who share similar interests.

  3. Choose the perfect location: Depending on your theme, choose a location that reflects the spring season. A garden or park is an ideal location for a garden party or a spring picnic. Alternatively, you could host your party at home, but be sure to decorate your space to reflect your theme.

  4. Plan your menu: Spring is a great time for fresh, light dishes. Consider serving seasonal fruits and vegetables, salads, grilled meats, and light desserts. Offer a selection of drinks, including non-alcoholic options like lemonade or iced tea.

  5. Decorate your space: Use bright colors, fresh flowers, and other spring-themed decorations to create a festive atmosphere. Hang paper lanterns, string lights, or floral garlands to add a touch of whimsy to your party.

  6. Plan activities: Depending on your theme and the age range of your guests, plan some activities to keep everyone entertained. You could have a garden scavenger hunt, a craft table, or lawn games like croquet or bocce ball.

  7. Send out invitations: Once you have finalized your guest list and party details, send out invitations to your guests. Be sure to include all of the important information, including the date, time, location, and any special instructions or requests.

The Girly GirlBlog does not own this photo

  1. Practice Self-Care: Self-care is all about taking time for yourself and doing things that make you feel good. This can include activities such as exercise, meditation, reading, taking a bath, or even just taking a few minutes to breathe deeply and relax. By incorporating self-care into your daily routine, you can reduce stress and improve your overall mental health.

  2. Connect with Others: Social connections are crucial for good mental health. Whether it's spending time with friends and family, participating in group activities, or joining a support group, connecting with others can help you feel less isolated and more supported. Try to make time for socializing regularly and prioritize maintaining your relationships.

  3. Get Enough Sleep: Sleep is essential for good mental health. When we don't get enough sleep, it can impact our mood, cognitive abilities, and overall well-being. Try to establish a regular sleep schedule, aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night, and create a relaxing sleep environment to improve your sleep quality.

  4. Seek Professional Help: If you're struggling with your mental health, don't hesitate to seek professional help. Mental health professionals such as therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists can provide support, guidance, and treatment to help you manage your symptoms and improve your overall mental health.

  2. Grilled Lemon-Pepper Salmon: Marinate salmon fillets in a mixture of lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and black pepper. Grill until cooked through and serve with a side of roasted vegetables.

  3. Asparagus and Mushroom Risotto: Cook arborio rice in chicken broth until creamy, then stir in sautéed asparagus and mushrooms. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

  4. Lemon-Raspberry Tart: Bake a tart shell and fill it with a mixture of cream cheese, lemon juice, and powdered sugar. Top with fresh raspberries and a drizzle of raspberry jam.

5 Mascara Tips that will LITERALLY save your LIFE!

  1. Use an eyelash curler: Before applying mascara, curl your lashes to give them a lift and help them appear longer.

  2. Wiggle the wand: When applying mascara, wiggle the wand back and forth at the base of your lashes, then sweep it upwards towards the tips. This will help coat each lash evenly and create volume.

  3. Apply mascara to both sides of your lashes: Many people only apply mascara to the top side of their lashes, but applying it to the underside as well can help create a fuller look.

  4. Don't pump the wand: Pumping the wand in and out of the tube can introduce air and dry out the mascara. Instead, twist the wand as you pull it out to avoid excess product buildup.

  5. Use a clean spoolie to separate lashes: After applying mascara, use a clean spoolie brush to comb through your lashes and separate any clumps. This will create a more natural and fluttery look.
